Embedded Automation Technician: Locations: Indianapolis IN, Durham NC, Concord NC, Houston TX

We are looking for Embedded Automation Technicians who can troubleshoot complex automated systems, reduce downtime, and keep production moving.
If PLC faults, robots, conveyors, ASRS systems, and electrical troubleshooting sound like your kind of challenge, this role may be a strong fit.

What You’ll Work On:
  • ASRS cranes, conveyors, FANUC robots, AGVs/AMRs, stretch wrappers, and material handling equipment
  • PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, control panels, sensors, photo eyes, and vision systems
  • Electrical, mechanical, controls, and automation troubleshooting
  • Downtime response, root-cause problem solving, and production support
As part of this critical embedded automation support team, you will  be supporting ASRS systems, conveyors, robotics, AGVs, and material handling equipment at customer manufacturing sites.
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating NIGHT SHIFT:
This schedule provides predictable workdays, built-in work/life balance, and every other weekend off.
Week 1: Work Monday & Tuesday/Off Wednesday & Thursday/Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Off Monday & Tuesday/Work Wednesday & Thursday/Off Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Work only half the year while still earning full-time pay. Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend. Built-in work/life balance. Predictable schedule with plenty of time for family, hobbies, and enjoying downtime.

What We’re Looking For:
You do not need to know everything, but you should bring 2+ YEARS hands-on troubleshooting experience with the following and a drive to keep learning.
  • Industrial maintenance, automation, or material handling experience
  • PLC, electrical, 24VDC control, sensor, motor, drive, robotics, conveyor, or mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and pride in reducing downtime

Our REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience applicable to job description and responsibilities
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States 
  • Able to work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule and safely work around industrial automation equipment
  • Dependable, positive “can-do” attitude with desire to be part of a growing team that rewards longevity and success
